Business Intelligence Analyst

Sam Woods, business intelligence analyst, provides risk decision support to our clients through sophisticated analysis of risk/reward tradeoffs. His experience as a statistical analyst for the City of Birmingham and as an attorney allows him to manage the intersections between data and compliance.

Sam graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2010 with a degree in mathematics and Spanish. He earned his juris doctor (JD) degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2013. He has a strong background in workers’ compensation law, including case assessment, negotiation and settlement.

By leveraging his expertise in statistics and law, Sam ensures that policies and contracts are both effective and compliant for our clients. He analyzes and interprets data to develop and implement the optimal solutions. He also creates statistical reports, graphs and charts to evaluate the status of our clients’ insurance plans and communicate results.
